This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and ambitious team. You will be reporting to the Head of Conveyancing and Director in the Edinburgh team, supporting them in developing new business opportunities as well as maintaining established relationships with clients and contacts.
In this role you will:
- Assist with transactions as well as running transactions and carrying out all aspects of residential conveyancing with minimal supervision with paralegal assistance. This will include (but not restricted to) purchase and sale.
- Identify and manage risk effectively in your work. This includes (but not restricted to) Anti-Money Laundering, Source of Funds, and Source of Wealth requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance to clients and colleagues in the Estate Agency team on general conveyancing matters and transactions.
We are looking for someone with an interest in property law, and in particular, residential property. With strong organisational skills, you will have good technical knowledge and attention to detail and may have had some experience of using new and emerging technology in the delivery of legal services.
You will have gained at least 6 months experience in residential conveyancing or commercial property (especially Plot Sales/Housebuilder work) during your traineeship and private client experience would also be helpful. A good grasp of LBTT legislation and requirements is required.
